My Journey

I am Oriol Manzano, a versatile software developer with a strong foundation in computer science and a passion for building scalable, user-centric solutions.

My journey began in Barcelona, where my curiosity for technology and innovation took root. This passion led me to Epitech University in France, where I earned a bachelor's degree in Toulouse and a master's degree in Paris, focusing on the intersection of computer science, artificial intelligence, and user experience design.

Throughout my career, I’ve applied my technical expertise across a variety of industries—from gaming and visual effects to SaaS development—constantly seeking innovative ways to solve complex problems. While I’ve contributed to high-profile projects in gaming and film, including Sackboy: A Big Adventure (PS5) and Transformers 4, my recent focus has been on developing software solutions that streamline processes and enhance user engagement.

I have hands-on experience working with Python, C++, JavaScript (Node.js, React), and Firebase, applying principles of clean code, test-driven development (TDD), and agile methodologies to ensure scalable, maintainable, and high-quality code. My approach prioritizes unit testing, code reviews, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, fostering robust software solutions that stand the test of time.

Most notably, I led the development of Neddan.com, a SaaS appointment booking platform designed to help professionals manage client scheduling efficiently. I built the platform from the ground up using Node.js, Firebase, and React, integrating features like multi-user scheduling, real-time notifications, and payment options. This project honed my skills in scalable architecture, cloud services, and user-centric design, and reinforced my drive to create solutions that make a tangible impact.

Today, I’m focused on expanding my reach in software development, particularly in industries that value innovation, scalability, and user experience. I’m driven by a passion for problem-solving, a curiosity for emerging technologies, and a commitment to building software that empowers users and drives business growth.

As I continue to evolve in the tech landscape, my goal remains clear: to develop impactful solutions that bridge the gap between technology and user needs.
